The Washington Area Mid-East Dance Association (WAMEDA) is a professional organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Middle Eastern dance, music, and culture. Membership is open to all persons who share these interests.

Your $30 WAMEDA, Inc, membership entitles you to
- Bi-monthly newsletter--news, reviews, and information about upcoming events (included in dues)
- Invitation to join a special Yahoo group online, exclusively for members where you can chat with other dancers, many of whom are local. WAMEDA teachers and other professional dancers participate in this group.
- WAMEDA members' directory with listing of teachers and dance troupes (included in dues)
- Member discounted rate at annual Hafla dinner show and workshop, featuring a nationally known guest artist and WAMEDA members
- Member discounted rate at annual June members' recital
- Member discounted rate at annual February ethnic dance workshop featuring local dance instructors
- Library containing books, video tapes and DVDs for rent
- WAMEDA member meetings with both instructional programs and opportunities to socialize at no charge to members
- WAMEDA members can purchase a swap table for our annual swap sale in August
